The senior faculty summer training workshops were conducted in the first two consecutive weeks of June 2018. The first workshop was held between 04 June, 2018 and 08 June, 2018. The senior faculty who were part of first workshop were from 11 institutes from which two institutes were out of the quality circle institutes of IIT Bombay. They were BGSBU Rajouri and IIIT Manipur. The participation in this workshop was 256. The senior faculty who were part of the second workshop were from 7 institutes and all the institutes were out of the quality circle institutes of IIT Bombay. They were BGSBU Rajouri, BIT Sindri, GCET Jammu, NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland, SAEC Vidisha and SMVDU Katra. The participation in this workshop was 239.

The focus of these summer training workshops on Active learning for the senior faculty, was mainly towards Active Learning, Autonomy, Governance & Management and Research and development. Active learning had a share of 50 %, Autonomy, Governance & Management had a share of about 20 % and Research and development formed the remaining share of 30 % in the syllabus of these workshops. Visits to state of the art laboratories at IIT Bombay were an integral part of these workshops.
